Hi, I’m Andrei Frandes, a developer with a strong focus on UI but a broad skillset that extends across various areas of tech. My journey started back in high school, where I first got hooked on problem-solving through math and computer science. That curiosity grew into a career, and I’m still as driven as ever to keep learning and building.

After completing a Full Stack Developer program with IT Career Switch, I dove into the world of front-end development and discovered that’s where I really shine. Recently, I worked as a UI Developer at ASC Technologies where my main focus was to bring a fresh, modern look to their user interface. I got hands-on with tools like React, TypeScript, and SCSS, and spent a lot of time translating designs from Figma into clean, efficient code. This role taught me the importance of writing maintainable code, collaborating with larger teams, and finding fast, effective solutions to complex UI challenges.

Beyond UI development, I have a solid understanding of core principles in software development, which helps me work effectively in larger teams and communicate across different parts of a project. I’m a problem-solver at heart, comfortable with picking up new tools and languages as needed, and I always look for ways to make my code more efficient and maintainable.

At ASC Technologies, I supported the UI development of Recording Insights—an enterprise compliance recording platform integrated with Microsoft Teams. I worked across both web (React) and mobile (React Native), building reusable, scalable components and improving overall UI consistency. For the mobile app, I implemented cross-platform UI features, enhanced navigation, and refined responsiveness.
